The Stake Enrichment and General Relief Society Broadcast is tomorrow Saturday, September 27th. Mini classes will begin at 4. Sample topics include: The Saviour, The sacrament & self worth, Be of Good Cheer, The possible dream:Learn to Dream, Seek opportunities for learning, Pay thy debt, Self-Defense & Safety Concerns, Run & Not be Weary, & Personal Pampering (from the spa ladies).....I think we could all use a little personal pampering!
There are a couple of service projects. One for any of you who have old cell phones that are lying around your house. If you would bring them they will be donated to help other women start a new life. In addition, those who are interested can make Christmas stockings. They will be given to the Children's Hospital. For the Christmas stockings, the stake is asking those that are interested to donate green & red holiday fabric. The hospital is religiously neutral and has asked us not to use fabric with a religious theme (e.g., angels, nativity scenes). Santa Claus is allowed.
Dinner will follow the classes. There will be a dessert bar and asked 6 sister's from each ward to bring a dessert and help clean up afterward. We hope that you will help assist if possible.
The General Relief Society Broadcast will follow our yummy dinner and the fun activities. This is a great time to listen to our leaders while our stomach is full and we are among friends. We hope you will make every effort to come. Please, let us know if you need a ride or if you have room for sister's in your vehicle. Car pooling is encouraged as always.
